Birbeck London University Swimming Team, B-LUST, (previously London University Swimming Team, LUST) is a friendly and social team dedicated to improving the fitness and swimming ability of fellow students, staff and alumni from ALL UoL member institutes! From non-competitive fitness swimmers up to national-level athletes, we cater for a wide range of abilities.

*To join the team, you are required to be able to swim 100m IM or 200m freestyle independently.

Events
Each year we send a team to represent at BUCS Short course, Long course, Team Qualifiers, and (if we make it) Team Finals. In addition to this, we participate in London League, annual friendly galas at Oxford and Manchester for all members
Achievements
We've had many admirable performances at the university level, with standouts being 3 bronze and 1 silver medal being won at BUCS open events over the past years. In addition, we have sent swimmers to the British Olympic and Commonwealth trials on separate occasions.

Birkbeck Students' Union groups are only open to full membership for enrolled Birkbeck students. Other membership categories may exist depending on the group's constitution and the approval of the SU's Executive Committee.
In additional to the general term and conditions for Birkbeck Students' Union organised and managed events, all our Clubs, Societies, Networks and Projects may apply additonal conditions on attendance. Examples can be, and not limited to, membership of a club or society, students from one programme or class, self-organised groups and liberation campaigns limited to participants on a self-defining basis into the group membership (e.g. LGBTQ+ students or women only).
All attendees at an event must register in advance and ensure they bring along a copy of their e-ticket and their Birkbeck student ID.
