The Environment society is a young society that was created to connect like-minded students to share ideas and campaign for positive change at Birkbeck. What to expect? We will be running regular events including film screenings, seminars with guest speakers, and much more! If you’re passionate about the environment and creating a more sustainable planet for future generations - we want you!
The Climate Network
The Climate Network is a group of staff and students and Birkbeck who have come together to take action on the climate emergency.
We have just launched our campaign and petition for Birkbeck to implement a Green New Deal by 2023 in order for our institution to play their part in tackling this crisis.
We invite all staff and students at Birkbeck to become involved and help make our campaign a success as well as contribute other ideas and skills to grow our network. Come and meet some of our members on Teams at 3pm and hear about why we got involved and why you should also join the network!

Birkbeck Students' Union groups are only open to full membership for enrolled Birkbeck students. Other membership categories may exist depending on the group's constitution and the approval of the SU's Executive Committee.
In additional to the general term and conditions for Birkbeck Students' Union organised and managed events, all our Clubs, Societies, Networks and Projects may apply additonal conditions on attendance. Examples can be, and not limited to, membership of a club or society, students from one programme or class, self-organised groups and liberation campaigns limited to participants on a self-defining basis into the group membership (e.g. LGBTQ+ students or women only).
All attendees at an event must register in advance and ensure they bring along a copy of their e-ticket and their Birkbeck student ID.
