Cricket Club is BACK
The Birkbeck Cricket Club is a vibrant community of passionate individuals connected through a mutual love of the sport. For this reason, you don’t need to be a pro to join. All we ask is that you, like us, take pride in wearing our universities badge. Our members see a diverse range of students (and staff) with a range of backgrounds. Most of our members work and study full time, and still can find time to play sports during their busy schedules!
We put a large focus on player development and enjoyment; holding regular training sessions at Regents Park in the summer term, as well as the odd session at Lords during the winter. This summer term also sees us play matches in the London Universities Sports League (LUSL), matching our talents against other London universities. Social activity has always played an important part in the club and will continue to do so as the players and the club progresses. Close links with other sports clubs means there are plenty socials throughout the year. So, if you fancy making friends, having a game of cricket and a brazen pint: join up now!
This year, we play in LUSL Division 1 and is a mixed competition!
