Wednesday 4th November is the demonstration for free education. Hundreds of thousands of students and activists will descend upon the streets of London to protest against the government's damaging plans to scrap maintenance grant for the poorest students and allow universities to further increase their fees. 

 

Don't worry if this is your first time at a demonstration. We have more than enough friendly faces, paint, placards and banners than you can shake a stick at! Just bring your enthusiasm and your best shouty voice along. 

 

Sign up and let us know that you're attending the rally tomorrow and come meet some Birkbeck students while you're at it! The sign up form is here:  - The student union will use details on this to pass on any important information (safety or otherwise) during the event. We won't keep your details beyond tomorrow's rally.
