Hey Everyone! I’m Nicholas Baker a 2nd year full time student studying for a BSc in Psychology. I joined the Students’ Union to help build a community within Birkbeck as well as the wider academic community. I believe that community is a key factor in delivering an enjoyable and educational university experience. However, as Birkbeck is so unique, many students struggle to manage their university lives with other responsibilities. Therefore my manifesto proposes utilising social media and student reps to improve communication between the students and the union, so we can deliver community activities tailored to you. Due to the responsibilities of Birkbeck students: my manifesto also promises a push for extending library opening hours, making the library more accessible for all students.

Outside of the Union I’m interested in psychology and film. So will often be spotted hanging around the cinema and psychology society events.

Hey Everyone! My name is Eliyahu Leib Goldsobel. I'm a full time student studying for an MRes in Social Research, Law and Legal Studies. I joined the Students’ Union to help build a community within Birkbeck as well as the wider academic and general community. I believe that community is a key factor in delivering an enjoyable and educational university experience. However, as Birkbeck is so unique, many students struggle to manage their university lives with other responsibilities. Therefore my manifesto proposes utilising social media and a 'Student Reps' to improve communication between the students, the Union, the college and School/Department faculty. One of the big campaigns we will be running this will be called ‘Coexist’. Coexist is a campaign designed to bring people together by promoting and sharing our varied cultures; with the aim of heightening Birkbeck students' sense of community and belonging during their time here. Due to the drive for gaining work experience I will be bringing in all my resources to start building a free clinic (legal/wellbeing) where students can gain the experience they need whilst at university; to progress post-university. This is a BIG goal but together we can achieve anything.

Outside of the Union I’m interested in building, supporting and general work within communities. I'm something of a foodie, and I can often be spotted hanging around different society events or around a good party.
