Birkbeck Students' Union is run by students, for students. We work to represent student views to the College to improve the student experience at Birkbeck. Through our democratic processes, including Student Council and elections to choose Student Leaders, and our campaigns led by both students and elected Officers, we work with students to provide the College with your views and feedback. The Student Leaders meet with key figures in the College to implement changes to create a better student experience at Birkbeck.
Q: What's it like to be a student at Birkbeck? What is available outside of Birkbeck for you to get involved in? What perks do you as students at Birkbeck get?
Birkbeck is in the heart of London, and surrounded by other Universities and Students' Unions - there is so much around for students to make the most of, from London life to student activity.
The Students' Union is an independent organisation within Birkbeck College. Through our democratic practices and campaigns, we represent the student voice to the College as a critical friend and change maker. Supported by a team of student & non-student staff, student trustees, and elected student reps and council members, BBKSU seeks to provide opportunities, guidance and generally enhance your student experience while you study Birkbeck.
We don't expect you to come across problems in your studies, but if you do there are lots of support services available to help you out, from the Birkbeck Students' Union independent Advice Service to College support teams.
