Description

ADOPT ME!

This society needs leadership! Would you like to gain valuable experience and get involved in running a student group? Share your passion with others, and get in contact with our Student Activities Coordinator to learn more...

WHO ARE WE?

  • We are the Netball Club, one of the newest additions to Birkbeck Students' Union and a proud part of Team Birkbeck!

WHAT DO WE DO?

  • We play recreational Netball, as well as hold coached sessions.
  • We are looking to begin competitive play in the London Universities Sports Leagues (LUSL).
  • COVID-19 has currently made play impossible due to the rulings around indoor sports and capacity, but we remain flexible to governing bodies advice and will return to play as soon as possible!

WHEN DO WE MEET?

  • Our training and recreational sessions usually run on a Friday evening. While we are in the process of securing consistent block bookings, we will be posting on a weekly basis the venue for the training sessions.
  • You can join us on Friday, from 8 pm to 9pm, at Haggerston School, Dunloe Street, London E2 8LS, during the following dates:
    • 09/12/2022
    • 16/12/2022
    • 20/01/2023
    • 27/01/2023
    • 03/02/2023
    • 10/02/2023
    • 17/02/2023
    • 24/02/2023

Any competitive play will be held on Monday. Please sign up to BUCS PLAY for further details.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

  • Join the group! The best way to have the most up to date information on how to get involved, and when we can return to play, is to join as a member. It is currently free, so there is no risk!

Birkbeck Students' Union groups are only open to full membership for enrolled Birkbeck students. Other membership categories may exist depending on the group's constitution and the approval of the SU's Executive Committee.

In additional to the general term and conditions for Birkbeck Students' Union organised and managed events, all our Clubs, Societies, Networks and Projects may apply additonal conditions on attendance. Examples can be, and not limited to, membership of a club or society, students from one programme or class, self-organised groups and liberation campaigns limited to participants on a self-defining basis into the group membership (e.g. LGBTQ+ students or women only).

All attendees at an event must register in advance and ensure they bring along a copy of their e-ticket and their Birkbeck student ID.
